CBIE members benefit from being part of a community of international education professionals and supporters. CBIE is the only organization that crosses sectors and levels: CBIE is the Canadian meeting place for international educators engaged in elementary, secondary, college, university, and other types and levels of education.

Members inform and engage in CBIE advocacy initiatives that have direct impact on their performance in international education, for example, in the area of student immigration processing and pan-Canadian promotional strategies to attract international students and clients.

Members enjoy input to and benefit from professional development seminars and resources that improve their capacity to serve international students, deliver study abroad programs for Canadians and develop policy and practice in numerous areas connected to international education.

Members benefit from specific members-only opportunities, including partnership and cooperation opportunities with foreign educational institutions and governments, and international student enrolments.
