With a membership of Canada’s universities, colleges and school boards, the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) is Canada’s only national organization exclusively dedicated to matters of international education.

For more than 40 years CBIE has worked to make Canada a partner in education internationally through research and policy development, scholarship programs, and education and development projects around the world.

CBIE has worked with United Nations agencies, the World Bank, the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, the Canadian International Development Agency, foreign governments, international investors and Canadian foundations and corporations in projects which recognize the importance of international students to Canada; international learning to Canadian youth; education, good governance and civil society to international development; and quality in international private education.

CBIE offers its members and partners a wealth of resources, networks and collaborative assistance. We value the input of our broad membership and are pleased to respond to inquiries and initiatives from members, students, potential clients and partners. CBIE provides background on internationalization in Canadian education to institutions seeking to internationalize, both in Canada and abroad.
