BCCIE Summer Seminar 2012:
BCCIE is very pleased to announce that the BCCIE Summer Seminar 2012 will be held at the outstanding Delta Grand Okanagan Resort & Conference Centre along the shores of Lake Okanagan in Kelowna’s bustling Cultural District. Kelowna lies in the heart of BC’s wine country and will be the perfect backdrop to Western Canada’s largest international education conference. The opening reception has been confirmed at the historic Laurel Packinghouse, a designated national heritage landmark. BCCIE plans a robust conference of over 24 concurrent sessions, streams for leaders and newcomers, the return of the National Forum, and the chance to network with international education leaders from around Canada. A local arrangements team has been identified and we look forward to working with our colleagues and partners to make Summer Seminar 2012 the best conference yet.
The conference theme Global Pursuits, Local Endeavours recognizes the holistic nature of the field of international education, both in terms of the hard work being done to promote internationalization and global competencies at home, but also the pursuit of excellence at the local level in delivering services, education, and support to the hundreds of thousands of international students who call our country home.
