The Academic Manager is responsible for the overall progress and academic monitoring of students from the time the student arrives to Canada, including the following:

Overseeing the placement activities

Approval of students’ transfers from one institution to another

Approval of the start of funding of new students based on instructions from Ministry

Approval of the suspension of funding and termination of sponsorships
-
Approval of travel entitlements and purchase of tickets
-
Approval of entitlements for educational equipment, conferences, field trips and other similar requests and seeks the approval of the Ministry for the funding
-
Review and approval of all expenses presented by students prior to payment by CBIE
-
Review of students’ requests for extensions and submission of requests to the Ministry for approval
-
Issuing of sponsorship letters
-
Communication with the Ministry on behalf of students
-
Communication and follow-up with the Ministry on behalf of CBIE on academic matters, recommendations and outstanding issues.
